Jake's birthday party

The day finally came!!!!! Little Jake has been anxiously waiting for his birthday party ever since we had Jarett's the end of July. He's been asking if I can give him a birthday too!!!! He was thrilled to be the birthday boy! Unlike his brother, he loves to be the center of attention!

So many toys....so little time!!! Blowing out the candles like a pro.....

He loves to sing "Happy Birthday" to himself!!!

And, of course all of the toys had to be opened and put together that night!!!!

Labor Day Weekend at the river

We went camping for Labor Day weekend. This is the result of Jake trying to skip his afternoon nap! He actually did this 2 days in a row so on the 3rd day I purposely took him on a ride to go to sleep! Normally he holds on by himself and I hold him between my legs. But, when he starts to get sleepy he reaches down and puts my hand around him to hold him on before he nods off. The bumps and loud noises dont bother him at all!

Puerto Rico Anniversary Trip

We just returned Tuesday from our trip to Puerto Rico to celebrate our 10 year anniversary! It was fabulous!!!!! After 4 trips I FINALLY got to parasail and it was definitely worth the wait!! We also went hiking, repelling, and ziplining in the rain forest. It was amazing! A couple days of beach time thrown in also made it the perfect trip!

We had lots of parasail pics....I was thrilled!
A waterfall in San Salvador rain forest

Brian repelling down an 80 foot waterfall in the rain forest...

And my turn.....this was amazing!!!!

and the zipline....I highly recommend it!!!

When trying to decide where to go, palm trees growing out of the sand was one of my requirements.....this place definitely qualified!!!

10 happy years together....and many more to come! :)
