First river trip of the season

One of our favorite things to do as a family is to ride 4 wheelers and camp at the river. This trip was extra special because Jarett would be riding his new 4 wheeler for the first time; and Jake is now ready to ride his own 4 wheeler instead of riding with me. This first picture is one of my all time favorites! Jarett on his new 4 wheeler....he looks so big.....or maybe he looks little compared to that big 4 wheeler!

Then there's Jake on his 4 wheeler who looks so tiny! I can't believe my baby is old enough to ride.....and doing it so well!

This pic cracks me up! Jake looks so tiny! Normally he goes right thru the mud but I guess this time he decided to go WAY around it into the brush! All boy!

SNOW much fun!!!!!

We had so much fun with this past snow storm! We had 2 complete days of sledding behind the 4 wheeler and tubing down the hill! Both days I outlasted the kids....which begs the question....who is the bigger kid??? The snow was great fun but now let's skip to SUMMER! I'm ready for flip flops, the swimming pool and camping!!!!

Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning

We were very blessed this Christmas! Not only with great gifts but also with getting to spend time with family and emphasizing the real reason for the season!

After giving up on asking for a touchdown ( Santa still hasn't figured out what he was asking for) Jake asked for a Hummer with doors that open and an orange Corvette. (Not picky at all is he?)

Jake loved opening the presents but he kept wanting to stop and take them out and play RIGHT THEN!!!!!

The best gifts are the ones you have to stand up to reach!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Happy Birthday Jesus!

It's important to us that our boys know the true meaning of Christmas. So, we decided to make Jesus a birthday cake. All was going well until Jarett asked how we could fit that many candles on the cake! And, I have to admit....the writing didn't look so great but Jarett made me feel better by saying, "It's okay mommy, Jesus will still like it!" The boys singing Happy birthday to Jesus!!!!!

I love, love, love the pics my mom took of the boys for Christmas this year! I had SUCH a hard time deciding which one to use for the Christmas card! One Sat afternoon we begged Brian to dress up as Santa, we transformed my living room into a temporary studio and PLAYED! These are what we got!!!!
